First post for 2010 - Sachin does 200

Now how does one summarize for so many pending days.
New year had come and is gone now -- Where was me on new years??
I think at home...naaah
now I remember it was a good new year party at different places.
Bhau was here in India -- It was very nice to see him after a long long time.
Like he said -- we could pick up from wherever we left anytime -- so true. I mean with many friends, who I may meet after several years, it takes some time to settle in and get to the groove -- with some it is not like that.
So I went to pick him from DSOI in ggn, met uncle and aunty too -- and uncle bashed the guard in his typical style as the guard was questioning me a bit too much on my identity...
Sekhon too was with me...We lost the way from DSOI to Bundu's place...got to Bundu's place -- it was a huge get together of AIT guys -- all juniors, most of whom I didn't know -- but saw quite familiar faces too. saw the change that people had undergone -- tonq, I can't believe it was him!
there was patto too and sethi (whose name I forgot and he caught me on that)
bbq on the balcony was where we were while the chorus dance was happening inside.

(Meanwhile as I write this Sachinis on 199 -- WTF and I've declared I'll treat the whole #dukaan in he does 200, which I'm certain he would -- the Master that he is)
and he just did...of course I could not keep writing while it was this exciting. (changed the blog heading too -- a freaking world record. The guy deserves it -- record of records)

Anyway, went to old delhi with sekhon, shakti & raka...it was nice, jama masjid, khurchan parantha!?! it was a nice time

Hey I bought an xcite -- just like Tarun's -- it's nice, went to Jaipur in between (secret trip), stayed at Raka's -- that too was nice.
So overall life has been treating me good -- saw awesome movies -- Kubrick seriously rocks.
Khosla is back in town -- met him last sunday.
Sekhon's shifted to another house in awho colony.
what else ?
-- Got a psp -- and am not really sure of the decision's wiseness
-- have been drinking a lot lately, got a bbq set too, burnt 10 kgs of coal in it...
-- Oh yes, joined celebrity fitness, again not sure of the decision -- have resolved to not to continue there next month onwards -- I can do what I do over there without paying this much, and in a much better way and that would give a wonderful feel. Let us see.

Most of teh friends got married -- Buddy, it was one hell of a shaadi -- simple yet so sexy; Builder got done too. Chahal's next in april; aakanksha's engaged too; dua's a dad; I'm being pressurised -- have met the prospect.

Career wise i've mellowed a bit, am taking it easy now. A lot of action cum brain cells burning ahead -- need to prove it to myself or rather need to face it as it is.

Night Out

Did this after a long time. was with dubs & budds and by the time we were talking & eating bread omlette we saw the dawn breaking. I knew i couldn't sleep now and think of heading to office in working hours so went there at 8. cameback at 2 and slept the whole day/night -- weird it feels after all these years. It was so usual earlier.

Curious case of Benjamin Button

Saw the movie yesterday. Nice movie, nice concept. Given a choice, would I want to be BB? No, it's too lonely and opposite!

You live just once and it must be the way it is.



Another thing about the day was that I was woken up at 0500 Hrs by atul, ajay & tarun. His car'd suffered from the madness that is so easy to be repetitive whenever rain comes down pouring in this city called Gurgaon - a True-gaon if you ask me.
Woke up late of course, went to the shop late in the day.

what has been on these days

a lot actually, let's try listing some:
- car -- yeah, i had an accident quite sometime back, July 3 to be specific. Am on tyagiG's bike these days. expect to receive some money from the insurance by this month end .. next is what is still a question

- Swine flu -- it's in the air! ... many deaths in the country. only yesterday did the death toll start in delhi -- it's 2 as of now(delhi)

-- kaminey: a movie which i happened to see in theatre...nice mktg by these ppl...the movie is just ok and bit to much overhyped with ppl giving it more than 4 stars (out of 5) and everybody is all good good words for the movie, maybe i can't appreciate things in life!

-- work -- getting wierder by the day -- no comments!

-- Cofi -- safely in binaguri now, and having a time of his life or so i hear. Actually i think the move should have been made quite some time back, but nevermind

-- sanjeev's on leave -- and that leaves us with no one to do our work! -- from doing dishes to washing clothes, boiling milk, ordering water, filling bottles and ignoring the general cleanliness issues. Hopefully he should be back today -- went on a good 10 days leave

-- sekhon/dubey's move -- yep, they have moved from carlton estate to south city II -- it gets to be closer to where i reside currently. Sekhon was here yesterday with Builder, ordered dinner from daawat

Saw Butterfly effect 2

The movie was ok -- I had my initial doubts on this, having seen aplusk in the first one, i expected some starlets to be in this one too.
Hero has an accident and gets chances to get back to situation again. Then another mess-up happens, so he tries rectifying that  and so on...
had maggie + eggs + corn + sausages (all in one dish) and then sewain late in the night -- this was just to consume the milk that was overdoing.

Installment submission

Been long since I've posted. What has happened over the days? A lot -- have made and broken resolutions, many of them. Have dreamt and realised they've been shattered or dont seem that elusive now. have been influenced by a few concepts -- blown by some personalities, wanted to do something on the same lines and have seen it is tough -- about taking a call and deciding that, yes, this is the thing that i want to do -- about getting clarity into visions, thoughts, acts.

So, have had a few small targets set for myself:
 -- Get to know all my twitter followers -- thoroughly
 -- Get more followers -- at least in 4 figures
 -- Set-up two new blogs -- meaningful this time -- have also short-listed a few categories -- Movie Reviews, travelogs -- of course of the things that I know.
 -- Learn basic designing -- coding -- to the levels of being able to make a simple page with simple coding.

that's for now.

what can i say

i can't name it all. Somebody, anybody?
nothing much about the days gone by. have been heavily influenced by several things -- especially the anti-consumption thing.
Campaigns are heavy these days, usually get up early -- 6-6:30 to make up to it. yeah, the guys from e247 too have been joining us for about 6-7 days now. I wait as i write this night too.

Need to do some things with immediate effect -- start up writing.
what? about what? i don't know.
